Removal And Installation: AWD: Installation

  1. Install the front exhaust pipe and connect it to the exhaust muffler pipe.

  2. Using a hydraulic lift, put into place the front suspension crossmember then install and tighten the NEW  left and right side front suspension crossmember to body bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the suspension crossmember rear bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Remove the hydraulic lift.

  5. Install the rear engine mount isolator to bracket bolt (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Remove the hydraulic lift.

  7. Using a NEW  gasket, install the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and tighten the NEW  nuts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Install the front exhaust pipe support bracket bolts (2) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Install the exhaust pipe support bracket bolt (3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  10. Install the exhaust pipe rear support bracket bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  11. Tighten the exhaust clamp nut (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  12. Install the right stabilizer link to shock and tighten the nut (1) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  13. On the left side, do the same to install the left stabilizer bar link.

  14. Position the pedestrian impact crossmember to the vehicle.
  15. Install the pedestrian impact crossmember nut (1) and bolts (2) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  16. Install the right load beam extension mounting bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  17. Proceed similarly for installing the left load beam extension.

  18. Install the steering column shaft to the steering gear using a NEW  bolt (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  19. Install the right halfshaft. Refer to FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  20. Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
  21. Install the right front splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, INSTALLATION .
  22. Install the right front wheel and tire. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  23. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
