Removal And Installation: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
- Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL

- Remove the bolt (1) securing the steering column to the pinion steering box and remove the column.
- Remove the right and left pedestrian impact crossmember bolts (1).
- Remove the bolts and the reinforcement bracket (1) on both sides.
- Remove the bolts and both lower load beams (2).
- Holding the stabilizer bar link stem, remove the nut (1) from both the right and left stabilizer bar links.
- Remove the rear bracket bolts (1) securing the exhaust pipe to the support.
- Remove the nut (2) and loosen the clamp connecting pipes.
- Remove the front bracket bolts (1) securing the exhaust pipe to the support.
- Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp nuts (1a) and separate the exhaust pipe (1b) from the catalytic converter.
- Remove the gasket.
- Remove the rear engine mount to transmission bracket bolt (1).
- Place a suitable hydraulic lift under the front suspension crossmember.
- Remove the front suspension crossmember bolts (1).
- Remove the front suspension crossmember bolts (1) from the left and right sides.
- Lower the front suspension crossmember and remove the exhaust pipe with front flex pipe (1) from the front muffler.
- Remove the metal gasket (2).
