Pump, Engine Oil: Installation

- Clean the gasket sealing surfaces. Refer to ENGINE GASKET SURFACE PREPARATION .
- Install a NEW O-ring gasket (1) onto the oil pump.
- Install the oil pump. Tighten the bolts to 14 N.m (10 ft. lbs.).
- Install the lower timing cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, INSTALLATION .
- Install oil pump pick-up tube. Refer to PICK-UP, OIL PUMP, INSTALLATION .
