Pick-Up, Oil Pump: Installation

  1. Lubricate and install a NEW  O-ring seal (2) onto oil pump pickup tube (1).

  2. Install oil pump pickup tube (2) into oil pump. Tighten the bolts (1) to 11 N.m. (8 ft. lbs.).
  3. Install the upper oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, INSTALLATION .
  4. Fill the engine to proper level with recommended engine oil. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
