CROSSMEMBER, Radiator: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the front skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

  6. Loosen the clamp (1) and remove the right side CAC hose from the resonator (2).

  7. Loosen the clamps (1) and remove the left side CAC hose (2).

    NOTE:

    Right side shown, left side similar.

  8. If equipped, detach both the headlight washer hose retainers (1) from radiator crossmember.
  9. Remove the right and left front fender closeout panels.

  10. Remove the bolts (2) and position aside the coolant recovery bottle (1).
  11. Remove the right and left horns. Refer to HORN, REMOVAL .
  12. Remove the bolts and the right and left radiator crossmember support bars.
  13. Remove the hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL .

  14. Remove the push pin retainer (1) and the ambient temperature sensor (2).
  15. Remove the left side radiator closeout panel.
  16. Remove the right side radiator closeout panel.

  17. Remove the nut (3) securing the A/C line to the radiator crossmember.
  18. Remove the push pin retainer (2) securing the windshield washer bottle (1) to the radiator crossmember.

  19. Remove the bolts (1) and the radiator crossmember (2).
