Seal, Output Shaft, Front: Installation

1 - SPECIAL TOOL C-4171
2 - SPECIAL TOOL 9041
  1. Install new front output seal in front case with Seal Installer (special tool #9041, Installer, Seal) (2) and Universal Handle (special tool #C-4171, Driver Handle, Universal) (1).

    1 - FRONT OUTPUT SHAFT
    2 - FLANGE SEAL
  2. Install yoke seal (2) on front output shaft (1).

    1 - TRANSFER CASE
    2 - FRONT YOKE
  3. Install yoke (2) on front output shaft. Install a new yoke nut onto the front output shaft.

    2 - HOLDER 6958
    3 - FRONT YOKE
  4. Using Spanner Wrench (special tool #6958, Wrench, Spanner) (2), tighten the yoke nut to 176-271 N.m (130-200 ft. lbs.) torque.
  5. Install propeller shaft. Refer to SHAFT, DRIVE, REAR, INSTALLATION .
