Section 89 (Heated Seats (Service Information)): Description

Vehicles with the optional heated seat system can be visually identified by the two heated seat switches located in the Radio for the front seats. The heated seat system allows the driver and front seat passenger to select from two different levels of electrical seat heating (HI and LO).

Vehicles with the optional heated seat system for 2nd row seating can be visually identified by the two heated seat switches located in the rear of the center console for the rear seats. The heated seat system allows the passengers in the 2nd row to select from two different levels of electrical seat heating (HI and LO).

The heated seat system includes the following major components:

Front Heated Seats:

Heated Seat Switches - Two heated seat switches are used, one for each front heated seat. Both switches are integral to the radio for the front. Refer to SWITCH, HEATED SEAT, DESCRIPTION .
Comfort Seat and Wheel Module - One Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM) is used per vehicle. The CSWM is mounted under the passenger seat and contains the control logic and software for the front heated seat system. Refer to MODULE, COMFORT SEAT AND WHEEL (CSWM), DESCRIPTION .
Heated Seat Elements - Each front seat contains two heated seat elements, one on the seat back cushion and the other on the seat bottom cushion. The heated seat elements are hard-wired to the CSWM. Refer to PAD, HEATER, DESCRIPTION .

Rear Heated Seats:

Heated Seat Switches - Two heated seat switches are used, one for each rear heated seat. Both switches are located in the rear of the center console. Refer to SWITCH, HEATED SEAT, DESCRIPTION .
Comfort Seat and Wheel Module - One Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM) is used per vehicle. The CSWM is mounted under the passenger seat and contains the control logic and software for the rear heated seat system. Refer to MODULE, COMFORT SEAT AND WHEEL (CSWM), DESCRIPTION .
