Pedal(S), Brake And/Or Accelerator: Removal: Removal-RHD

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to PANEL, INSTRUMENT, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the stop lamp switch. Refer to SWITCH, STOP LAMP, REMOVAL .
  4. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.
  5. Disconnect the clutch pedal electrical connector, then remove the clutch rod from the clutch pedal.

  6. Remove the three pedal assembly nuts.

  7. Remove the five brake booster bracket nuts (1).
  8. Remove the three brake booster arm cover bolts and the brake booster cover (2).

  9. Remove the four pivot rod bracket bolts (1).
  10. Remove the brake pedal assembly from the vehicle.
