Motor, Wiper: Removal: Rear

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to ARM, WIPER, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (4) from the rear wiper motor.
  5. Remove the three screws (3) that secure the motor mounting bracket.
  6. Carefully slide the rear wiper motor out of the liftgate glass.
  7. Remove the output shaft grommet from the liftgate glass and discard.
