Panel, Trim: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the upper trim panel (2) using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, carefully pry the trim panel away from the inside of the liftgate (1) to release the fasteners that secure the panel to the liftgate.
- Remove the side trim panels (1) using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, carefully pry the trim panel away from the inside of the liftgate (2) to release the fasteners that secure the panel to the liftgate.
- Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, remove the pull cups (1)
- Carefully release the retaining clips and separate the trim panel (2) completely from the liftgate (1).
- Disconnect the trim panel lighting connectors.
- Remove the liftgate lower trim panel from the vehicle.
