Sensor, Knock: Installation: 2.4L

- Thoroughly clean the knock sensor mounting hole.CAUTION:
Over or under tightening the knock sensor mounting bolt will affect knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control. Always use the specified torque when installing the knock sensor. Do not apply any adhesive, sealant or thread locking compound to the bolt.
- Install the knock sensor with mounting bolt (1). Tighten the mounting bolt to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the wiring harness connector.
- Install the exhaust manifold
Refer to MANIFOLD, EXHAUST, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
