2.2L Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service article .
  3. Remove the low pressure EGR air flow control valve. Refer to VALVE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) AIRFLOW CONTROL, REMOVAL .

  4. Using the (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp) unlock the clamp (3) and remove the crankcase breather hose (4).
  5. Disconnect the crankcase vent heater wire harness connector (1).
  6. Detach the wire connector (2) from the crankcase breather tube (3).

  7. Remove the CCV heater (1) from the turbocharger (2) inlet.
