Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Airflow Control: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service article .

Remove the nut (1) securing the CAC air tube (2) to the transmission.

Release the clip (2) and disconnect the lower portion of the air tube (3).

Remove the bolts (1) and the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) air tube (2).

Remove the bolts (1) and position the EGR airflow control valve (2) to gain access to the wire harness connector.

Disconnect the EGR airflow control valve wire harness connector (1).
