- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
- Record the Environmental Data and any DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes

No
- Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK FOR VOLTAGE ON THE (B20) BRAKE FLUID LEVEL SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- CHECK THE (Z905) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Turn the ignition off.
- Measure the resistance of the (Z905) Ground circuit between ground and the Brake Fluid Level Switch harness connector.
Is the resistance above 3.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the open in the (Z905) Ground circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
