TENSIONER, Belt: Removal: 2.4L

- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE

- Remove the serpentine belt (5). Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the lower tensioner bolt.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Using a 12 inch socket extension, access the tensioner upper bolt from between the catalytic converter and the engine block.
- Remove the upper bolt.
- Remove the belt tensioner (7) from the engine.
