Rail, Fuel: Removal: 2.4L

WARNING:
Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Wear protective clothing and eye protection. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Pour fuel only into appropriately marked and approved containers. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
NOTE:
Wrap shop towels around hose to catch any gasoline spillage.
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Remove the purge control valve. Refer to VALVE, PURGE CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT

- Unlock and disconnect the fuel injectors wire harness connectors (1).
- Remove the bolts (3) and the fuel rail (2) with injectors.
- If necessary, remove the retaining clips and remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
