Tube, Fuel Tank Filler: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuel cap (1).

  3. Remove the right rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
  4. Loosen the hose clamp (2) and remove the fuel filler tube (3) from the fuel tank (1).

  5. Remove the filler tube mounting bracket nut (2).
  6. Remove the fuel filler tube from the fuel door housing assembly (1).
