Diagnostic Test

- VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE NOTE:
If any other DTCs are present, repair them first before continuing with this diagnostic procedure.
Ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active at this time?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring harness and electrical connectors.
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- CHECK FOR RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) HUB DTCS
- With the scan tool, read RF HUB DTCs.
Are there any RF HUB DTCs present?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX, RFH .
No
- Go To 3
- With the scan tool, read RF HUB DTCs.
- CHECK THE (F941) FUSED RUN/START CONTROL OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the (F941) Fused Run/Start Control Output circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair the (F941) Fused Run/Start Control Output circuit for an open or short.
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (D61) CAN C BUS (+) CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the CAN C Body C13 Star harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (D61) CAN C Bus (+) circuit between the CAN C Body C13 Star harness connector and the ABS Module harness connector.
Is resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 5
No
- Repair the (D61) CAN C Bus (+) circuit for an open or high resistance.
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- (D60) CAN C BUS (-) CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
- Measure the resistance of the (D60) CAN C Bus (-) circuit between the CAN C Body C13 Star harness connector and the ABS Module harness connector.
Is resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) Module in accordance with service information. Refer to MODULE, ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE (EPBM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Repair the (D60) CAN C Bus (-) circuit for an open or high resistance.
- Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Measure the resistance of the (D60) CAN C Bus (-) circuit between the CAN C Body C13 Star harness connector and the ABS Module harness connector.
