Diagnostic Test

VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition from off to on.
4. Press and hold the brake pedal.
5. Push the EPB Switch down to release the Electric Parking Brakes.
6. Pull the EPB Switch up to set the Electric Parking Brakes.
7. Push the EPB Switch down to release the Electric Parking Brakes.
8. Release the brake pedal.
9. Cycle the ignition from off to on.
10. With the scan tool, read EPB DTCs.
  Is the DTC active at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB) MODULE ROUTINE
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, perform the "Take Out of Plant Mode" routine.
3. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
4. Cycle the ignition from off to on.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
  Does the DTC remain active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) Module in accordance with Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE (EPBM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
  - Perform the EPB VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
