Two Speed - Right

- Install the output seal using (special tool #D-163, Installer, Seal) and (special tool #C-4171-2, Extension, Drive Handle).
- If equipped with a two speed with locker, install dust deflector onto shaft. If equipped with a two speed non locking differential install the output shaft into the Rear Axle Differential.NOTE:
Always use (special tool #9099, Seal Protector, Differential Output) when installing shaft into the Differential, Rear Axle. If seal protector is new, split at the seam before using.
- Install a new circlip to the output shaft.
- Install the axle shaft shim on the hub end of the shaft.NOTE:
Use care when installing halfshaft to axle assembly. The halfshaft installation angle should be minimized to avoid damage to the seal upon installation.
NOTE:Lightly apply a light grease to the splines prior to installing halfshaft.
- Install the axle shaft (2) onto the Rear Axle Differential, Rear Axle (1).NOTE:
Be sure the axle shaft is installed fully and circlip is seated onto output shaft.
- Install the rear knuckle Refer to KNUCKLE, REAR, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the differential fluid. Refer to FLUID, DIFFERENTIAL, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
