Removal - 3.2L

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove nuts (3) and separate the A/C discharge (1) and liquid line (2) manifolds from the Internal Heat Exchanger (IHX).
- Remove and discard the washer seals.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings.
- Remove the engine belly pan.
- Remove the upper radiator close out panel.
- Remove the right side radiator air deflector.
- Remove the line bracket bolt (1) from the radiator.
- Remove the bolt (3) and disconnect the liquid line.
- Remove the bolt (2) and disconnect the discharge line.
- Remove and discard the washer seals.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and ports.
- Remove the bolt (2) that secures the service port (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the pressure switch.
- Remove the discharge/liquid line assembly from the engine compartment.
