Removal - 2.0L, 2.2L, 2.4L

WARNING:

NOTE:
The lower portion of the A/C suction line is only serviced as an assembly with the A/C discharge line.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove nut (1) and the A/C discharge/liquid line manifold from the condenser jumper line.
- Detach the A/C discharge/liquid line manifold from the condenser jumper line (2) and separate the liquid (1) and discharge (3) lines. Remove and discard the seals.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and ports.
- Remove the splash shield from the right side frame rail. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL
.
- Remove nut (2) and disconnect the lower suction line. Remove and discard the seal.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and ports.
- Remove the nut (1) and the A/C suction and discharge line manifold (2) from the A/C compressor (3). Discard the O-ring seal and gasket.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened discharge line fitting and the compressor port.
