Hose, Clean Air: Installation

  1. Position the clean air hose (1) between the forward edge of the cowl and the cylinder head cover. Align the openings with the throttle body intake and the air cleaner body.
  2. Install the bolt (6) that secures the clean air hose to the cylinder head cover and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Tighten the clamp (4) at the throttle body inlet to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Tighten the clamp (7) at the air cleaner body to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the pushpin (2).
  6. Install the make up air hose (5) to the clean air hose (1).
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (3).
  8. Install the engine cover. Make sure all four rubber mounts are secure on the ball studs.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
