Tray, Battery: Installation: Diesel

  1. Position the battery tray (5) onto the frame rail.
  2. Loosely install the upper battery tray bolt (1, 2).
  3. Partially lift the vehicle.
  4. Install the bolt (2) that secures the washer solvent bottle to the battery tray (1) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).
  5. Install the outer side rail bolt (2). Tighten bolt to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).

  6. Install the inner battery tray to frame rail bolts (3). Tighten bolt to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).

  7. Raise the vehicle.
  8. Install the belly pan. Tighten bolts (2) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
  9. Lower the vehicle.

  10. Install the inner splash shield (1).
  11. Install the wheel.

  12. Tighten the upper battery tray bolts. Tighten bolt to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).

  13. Attach the hood release cable to the battery tray.
  14. Install the wiring harness (1) onto the battery tray (2).

  15. Install the PDC (3).

  16. Install the battery. Refer to BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
