Fascia, Rear: Removal

  1. Open the liftgate
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the wheelhouse splash shields. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the push pin retainer (3) that secures the underside of the rear fascia assembly.

  6. Accessing from the wheelhouse, remove the fender to fascia fastener (1). Repeat for the opposite side.

  7. Remove the quarter panel wheel opening flare molding. Refer to MOLDING, FRONT WHEEL OPENING, REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the bolts (3).
  9. Pull out on the fascia (4) at the wheel house opening (2) to disengage the fascia from the retaining bracket. Repeat on the opposite side.
  10. With the help of an assistant, pull rearward to disengage the fascia (1) from the rear retaining bracket. Do not completely remove at this time. 
  11. Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness (2).
  12. Remove the fascia (1) from vehicle.
