Switch, Fuel Door: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the driver side front door. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Working from the back side of the door trim panel, disengage the latch tabs (1 and 3) that secure the fuel door release switch (2) to the receptacle integral to the trim panel reinforcement.
  4. Remove the switch from the door trim panel.
