Panel, Door Trim: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove and disconnect the window switch (2) from the door.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the liner (4) from the door trim pull handle.
- Remove the fastener (3) securing the door trim panel to the carrier plate.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, pull out on the interior door handle and remove the bezel (2) located in the cavity.
- Remove the fastener (1) and the fastener securing the door trim panel to the carrier plate.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, pry the door trim panel away, starting along the lower edge and working around the perimeter to disengage the retaining clips (3).
- Lift the door trim panel up and out.Position the door trim panel slightly away, do not remove.
- Pull the interior handle (1) out fully from the notch (2) to detach from the trim panel (3).
- Disconnect electrical connectors and remove the door trim panel (3).
- Remove the inner belt molding (1).
- Remove the push pin fasteners using a (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, remove the push pin fasteners (1) and remove the upper trim (2).
