Cover, Rear Seat Back, 40%: Removal

- Remove the 40% rear seat from the vehicle. Refer to SEAT, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Using a trim tool, release the clips and remove the left side shield (1).
- Remove the screw (1), then lift the right side shield (2) and remove.
- Open the lower J-strip (1) and unzip (2) both sides of the seat back trim.
- Lift the seat back trim and unclip the trim cover (3).
- Lift the seat back trim and remove the four push fasteners (1).
- If equipped with seat back heat, unclip the wire harness (1) from the seat frame.
- If equipped with seat back heat, unclip the wire harness (1) and disconnect the wire harness connector (2).
- Using a trim tool, carefully remove the headrest sleeves (1).
- Lift the handle (2), remove the screw then the fold flat handle bezel (1).
- Carefully loosen the small J-strips (1) around the handle opening.
- Remove the seat back cover and the seat back foam as an assembly, from the seat back frame.
- If necessary to remove the inner side shields (2), remove the screw (1) and the inner side shield.
- Pull the seat back cover (1) away from the seat back foam, releasing the hook and loop fasteners.
- Cut all the hog rings (2) and remove the rear seat back cover.
