Side Shields, Seat, Manual: Installation

WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any component diagnosis or service of the front seats, when equipped with front seat air bags. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Position the left side shield onto the seat, clip it to the inner side shield and install the three screws. Clip the wire harness to it.
- Install the two screws (1) then the inner cover (2) at the rear of the side shield.
- Install the outer side shield (1) and engage it to the inner side shield (4).
- Make sure the hook at the front (3) and the lower clips (2) are fully engaged.
- Install the two screws (2) then the inner cover (1) at the rear of the side shield.
- Install the recline and lift handles. Refer to HANDLE, FRONT RECLINER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the front seat. Refer to SEAT, REAR, INSTALLATION .
