Cover, Seat Back, Manual: Installation

WARNING:

Disable the airbag system before attempting any front seat diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable and wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Position the seat cover onto the seat foam and install NEW hog rings.
  2. Position the seat back foam assembly onto the seat back frame.
  3. Carefully align the seat venting pad to the vent motor and snap them together. Check that they are fastened together fully.
  4. Install the seat air bag into the chute and connect the wire harness connector.
  5. Install the seat air bag into the seat back frame, following all warnings and cautions. Refer to AIR BAG, SEAT, INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the air bag wire harness connector.
  7. Connect the seat heater wire harness connector.
  8. Install the trim support and its two screws.
  9. Fasten the seat back cover push fasteners and close the side zippers.
  10. Close the bottom J-strip.
  11. Install the cross brace and the four screws.
  12. Install the headrest sleeves.
  13. Install the seat back assembly. Refer to SEAT BACK, POWER, INSTALLATION .
  14. Install the seat. Refer to SEAT, REAR, INSTALLATION .
