Hinge, Hood: Removal

  1. Support the hood on the side that requires hinge replacement and disconnect the support cylinder from the upper hinge. Refer to PROP, GAS, REMOVAL .
  2. Mark the hinge (1) attachment locations at the hood with a grease pencil or other suitable device to aid installation.
  3. Remove the cowl cover. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the bolts (2) attaching the hood to the hinge (1).

  5. Mark the hinge (2) attachment locations at the load beam inner with a grease pencil or other suitable device to aid installation.
  6. Remove the bolts (1) attaching the hood hinge (2) to the load beam inner and remove the hinge from vehicle.
