Molding, Rear Door: Removal

- Remove the B-pillar (2) and C-pillar rear door appliques (4). Refer to APPLIQUE, REMOVAL .
- Locate the notch (2) on the belt molding (1) inner edge on the B-pillar end.
- Insert a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, into the notch (2) of the inner side of the belt molding (1).
- Pry inboard to clear the tab on the door sheet metal.
- Continue to hold the notch (2) inboard and lift the belt molding (1), it will be tight as it is raised over the door edge (3).
- Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry up on outer belt molding, lifting the belt molding (1) upward approximately 25 mm (1 in.).
- Locate the notch (1) on the belt molding inner edge of the C-pillar end.
- Insert a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, into the notch (2) of the inner side of the belt molding (1).
- Pry inboard to clear the tab on the door sheet metal.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, gently pry up on outer belt molding.
- Remove the belt molding from the door.
