Hinge, Door: Removal

NOTE:

Do not reuse the door half hinge to body side half hinge fasteners (2, 4), replace with new readily available through Mopar parts.

NOTE:

Left upper shown, all other hinges on this model typical

Remove the door-

Remove the door. Refer to DOOR, REAR, REMOVAL .
Transfer the door to a bench.

Body side hinge half-

NOTE:

Upper and lower hinge halves are serviced exactly the same

Mark position of the body side half hinge (2) with a grease pencil or other suitable device to ease installation.
Remove the bolts (1) attaching the body side half hinge (2) to the body side.
Remove the body side half hinge (2) from the vehicle.

Door side hinge half-

NOTE:

Upper and lower hinge halves are serviced exactly the same

Mark position of the door side half hinge (1) with a grease pencil or other suitable device to ease installation.
Remove the bolt attaching the door side half hinge (1) to the body side.
Remove the door side half hinge (1) from the vehicle.
