Cover, Instrument Panel: Removal

  1. Remove the center console. Refer to CONSOLE, CENTER, REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the center harness (1) electrical connectors and position aside.
  3. Remove the amplifier, if equipped.
  4. Remove the steering column as necessary. Refer to COLUMN, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the A-pillar trim panel, Refer to PANEL, A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  6. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the end caps (1).
  7. Remove the center trim. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the radio, if necessary.
  9. Remove the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the upper I/P tweeter speakers, if necessary.
  11. Remove the cluster bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, REMOVAL .
  12. Remove the passenger air bag, Refer to AIR BAG, PASSENGER, REMOVAL .
  13. Remove the glove box striker.
  14. Remove the screws securing the cover to the I/P reinforcement and remove the cover.
