Latch-Liftgate Glass: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the trim panel from the liftgate (1). (Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/PANEL-TRIM - REMOVAL)

NOTE: Grand Cherokee (WK) shown, Commander (XK) similar.
Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the latch to aid installation.
Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the liftgate glass latch (3).
Remove the two nuts (2) that secure the latch (3) to the inside of the liftgate.
Remove the liftgate glass latch (3) from the vehicle.
