Section 540 (Body - Interior & Exterior): Liftgate: Latch: Removal

Open the liftgate.
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the lower trim panel from the inside of the liftgate (1). (Refer to BODY/DECKLID/HATCH/LIFTGATE/TAILGATE/TRIM PANEL - REMOVAL) .
Disconnect the electrical connectors of the latch (2).

Remove the three screws (2) that secure the latch (1) to the liftgate.
Remove the liftgate latch (1) from the vehicle.
