Oil Cooler: Installation

- Clean all engine mating surfaces.
- Position the oil cooler and gasket. Install the fasteners and tighten to 10.8 N.m (96 in. lbs.). See Fig 1.
- Install the water pump housing assembly with new gasket. Tighten fasteners to 24.5 N.m (18 ft. lbs.). See Fig 1.
- Install the oil cooler coolant hose.
- Install the power steering reservoir.
- Install heater hoses at housing.
- Install lower radiator hose at housing.
- Install the charge air hose.
- Install coolant reservoir and hoses.
- Install air cleaner assembly (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - INSTALLATION) .
- Fill the coolant system
- Connect the negative battery cable
- Start engine, run until warm, turn the engine off, and inspect for leaks.
