Liquid Line: Removal

Refer to the applicable warnings and cautions for this system before performing the following operation (Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING - WARNINGS) and (Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING - CAUTIONS) . Failure to follow the warnings and cautions could result in possible personal injury or death.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system (Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING - STANDARD PROCEDURE - REFRIGERANT SYSTEM RECOVERY) .
- Remove the engine air cleaner housing (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL)(Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) .
- Remove the nut that secures the liquid line to the A/C condenser. See Fig 1.
- Disconnect the liquid line from the A/C condenser and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened liquid line fitting and the condenser port.
- Remove the liquid line from the retaining clips located on the inner fender.
- Remove the nut that secures the liquid line to the A/C evaporator.
- Disconnect the liquid line from the A/C evaporator and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened liquid line fitting and the evaporator port.
- Remove the liquid line from the engine compartment.
