Test VER-2A: Body Verification Test

  1. Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors. If Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM) was replaced, go to step  3 . If Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM) was not replaced, go to next step.
  2. If Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module was replaced, using DRB select THEFT ALARM, select VTSS, select MISCELLANEOUS, select CONFIGURE MODULE. If vehicle is equipped, use DRB and enable VTSS. Program other options as necessary. Using DRB, program all Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters. Go to step  5 .
  3. Obtain vehicle's unique PIN number assigned to it's original SKIM module from either the vehicle's invoice or from Chrysler's Customer Center. With DRB, select THEFT ALARM, select SKIM, select MISCELLANEOUS, select SKIM MODULE REPLACED Enter 4-digit PIN number which puts SKIM in ASSESS mode.
  4. Follow DRB prompts to program country code into SKIM, program VIN into SKIM and transfer Secret Key data from PCM. Once secure access mode is achieved, SKIM will remain in that mode for 60 seconds. Using DRB, program all customer keys into SKIM.
  5. Ensure all accessories are off and battery is fully charged. Ensure ignition is on. Using DRB, erase all trouble codes from all modules. Start engine and allow to idle for 2 minutes and fully operate system that was malfunctioning. Turn ignition off and wait 5 seconds.
  6. Using DRB, read trouble codes from all modules. If no trouble codes are present and customer"s complaint cannot be duplicated, repair is complete. If air bag system codes are present, go to TEST 1A: IDENTIFYING SYSTEM PROBLEMS  .
