Test 8A: No Cluster Communication-No Cluster CCD Bus Message (Active Code)

NOTE: Perform TEST VER-1A: AIR BAG VERIFICATION TEST  after all repairs. Each time a connector is disconnected, inspect it to ensure it is in good condition. Always focus on circuit being tested. Dirt, water and corrosion, are most common problems in connectors.
  1. Using DRB, select SYSTEM MONITORS. Perform CCD BUS TEST. If DRB displays BUS OPERATIONAL, go to next step. If DRB does not display BUS OPERATIONAL, diagnose vehicle communication system.
  2. Using DRB, select PASSIVE RESTRAINTS, select AIRBAG, select AIR BAG MONITORS. Observe CCD Bus Messages. If DRB displays MIC BULB STATE: OK, go to next step. If DRB does not display MIC BULB STATE: OK, replace instrument cluster.
  3. Using DRB, read codes. If DRB displays NO CLUSTER CCD BUS MESSAGES, replace ACM. If DRB does not display NO CLUSTER CCD BUS MESSAGES, go to TEST 1A: IDENTIFYING SYSTEM PROBLEMS  .
