Test 11A: Warning Lamp Open (Active Code)
NOTE:
Perform TEST VER-2A: BODY VERIFICATION TEST
after all repairs. Each time a connector is disconnected, inspect it to ensure it is in good condition. Always focus on circuit being tested. Dirt, water and corrosion, are most common problems in connectors.
- Using DRB, select PASSIVE RESTRAINTS, select AIRBAG, select MONITOR DISPLAY, select WARNING LAMP STATUS. Read MIC BULB STATE. If DRB displays MIC BULB STATE: OK, go to next step. If DRB does not display MIC BULB STATE: OK, go to step 4 .
- If DRB displays, MIC DRIVER STATE: OK, go to next step. If DRB does not display, MIC DRIVER STATE: OK, go to step 4 .
- Turn ignition off and wait 5 seconds. Turn ignition on and observe AIR BAG warning light. If AIR BAG warning light illuminated for 6-8 second bulb check and no potential causes remain, replace ACM. If AIR BAG warning light did not illuminated for 6-8 second bulb check, replace instrument cluster.
- Remove instrument cluster. Remove and inspect AIR BAG warning light bulb. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster. If bulb is defective, replace bulb.
