Test 5A: Outlet Valve Circuits
- Using scan tool, clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Turn ignition off, then on. Wait 5 seconds and read DTCs. If scan tool displays more than one DTC, record for future reference. See VALVE OUTLET DTC MESSAGES
table and perform appropriate test. If scan tool does not display any DTCs, go to next step.VALVE OUTLET DTC MESSAGES
DTC Message Perform Test LF OUTLET VALVE 5B RF OUTLET VALVE 5C REAR OUTLET VALVE 5D - Inspect all related wiring and connectors and repair as necessary. While an assistant observes scan tool display, wiggle wiring harness from CAB to HCU. If DTC returns, repair wiring harness or connectors as necessary where wiggling caused DTC to return. If no problems were found with wiring and connectors, see INACTIVE DTC CONDITION OR INTERMITTENT SHORT CONDITION under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
