Test TC-50E - Transmission 3-4 Solenoid/Transmission Relay Circuits
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
Perform TEST TC-50A before proceeding. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
- Condition required to set DTC is not present at this time. 3-4 SHIFT SOLENOID CIRCUIT DTC sets if an open or shorted circuit exists in 3-4 shift solenoid circuit. Possible causes are: open or shorted wiring to 3-4 shift solenoid, open fused ignition switch output circuit, defective connector terminals, or defective 3-4 shift solenoid. Go to next step.
- Inspect all related wiring and connectors. Repair wiring and connectors as necessary. If wiring and connectors are okay, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, actuate 3-4 shift solenoid and read DTCs. Wiggle wiring harness from 3-4 shift solenoid to PCM and note if 3-4 SHIFT SOLENOID DTC resets. If DTC resets, repair wiring harness as necessary. If DTC does not reset, see INACTIVE DTC CONDITION . If procedures in INACTIVE DTC CONDITION pass, replace PCM.
