Test TC-142A - Governor Pressure Above 3 Psi In Gear At 0 Mph DTC 45/P1757)
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, you should see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . You should also perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
- Using scan tool, read DTCs. Repair any other transmission related DTCs before proceeding. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table. Perform appropriate test(s). If no other transmission related DTCs exist, go to next step.
- Start engine. Allow engine to reach operating temperature. With engine running, put gear selector in Neutral and go to next step.
- Using scan tool, read governor pressure sensor value. If scan tool displays more than zero psi, perform TEST TC-142B . If scan tool displays zero psi, go to next step.
- Set parking brake, depress brake pedal and put gear selector in Drive. Read governor pressure sensor value. If scan tool displays more than zero psi at zero MPH, perform TEST TC-142C . If scan tool displays zero psi at zero MPH, leave engine on and you should perform TEST TC-142D .
