Test TC-12E - Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid/Transmission Relay Circuit
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
Perform TEST TC-12A before proceeding. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
- Condition required to set DTC is not present at this time. TCC SOLENOID CIRCUIT DTC sets if an open or shorted circuit exists in TCC solenoid circuit. Possible causes are: open or shorted wiring to TCC solenoid, open fused ignition switch output circuit, defective connector terminals, or defective TCC solenoid. Go to next step.
- Inspect all related wiring and connectors. Repair wiring and connections as necessary. If wiring is okay, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, actuate TCC solenoid and check for DTCs. Wiggle wiring harness from TCC solenoid to PCM and note if TCC SOLENOID CIRCUIT DTC resets. If DTC resets, repair wiring harness as necessary. If DTC does not reset, see INACTIVE DTC CONDITION . If procedures in INACTIVE DTC CONDITION pass, replace PCM.
