Test Ch-VER, Charging Verification

- Inspect and ensure that all engine components are connected. If PCM has been changed and if vehicle is equipped with a factory theft alarm, start vehicle at least 20 times so alarm will activate as designed.
- Connect DRB to data link connector and erase all faults. Ensure no other charging system problems remain by doing the following:
- Start engine.
- Raise engine speed to 2000 RPM for at least 30 seconds.
- Allow engine to idle.
- Turn engine off.
- Turn ignition on.
- Using DRB, read trouble codes.
- If previously repaired fault has reset, repair is incomplete. Check all related TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS and return to TEST TC-1A, CHECKING SYSTEM FOR TROUBLE CODES if necessary. If there are no other trouble codes, repair is complete.
