Test 18A - Abs Amber Warning Light Problem

NOTE:
Perform TEST 1A - CHECKING SYSTEM FOR DTCS
before proceeding.
- Repair any DTCs prior to performing this test. Observe ABS warning light in information center. Turn ignition off, then on. If ABS warning light goes on for a few seconds and then goes off, ABS warning light circuit is operating properly. If ABS warning light is on steady, go to step 4). If ABS warning light is not on steady, go to next step.
- Set parking brake. Observe Red BRAKE warning light. If BRAKE warning light is on, go to next step. If BRAKE warning light is not on, repair open fused ignition switch output circuit (Dark Blue/White wire) to warning lights. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST .
- Access ABS warning light bulb. Inspect and replace bulb if necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST . If bulb is okay, replace instrument panel. Perform TEST VER-1A.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) connector. CAB is located near air cleaner housing. Inspect CAB connector for any damaged or pushed out terminals. Repair connector as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST . If terminals are okay, go to next step.
- Connect a jumper wire between ground and CAB connector terminal No. 16 (White/Violet wire). Turn ignition on. If ABS warning light is off, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST . If ABS warning light is on, repair open White/Violet wire. Perform TEST VER-1A.
