Test VER-1A - Verification Test

  1. Inspect vehicle to ensure all previously disconnected components and connectors are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off, then on. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If any DTCs are present, go to TEST 1A. If no DTCs are present, go to next step.
    CAUTION: Ensure brakes are functional BEFORE road testing vehicle.
  2. Road test vehicle for at least 5 minutes. Perform several ABS stops and traction control starts (if equipped). After road test, use scan tool to read DTCs. If any DTCs are present, go to TEST 1A - CHECKING SYSTEM FOR DTCS  . If no DTCs are present and customer complaint can't be duplicated, repair is complete.
