Test 11A - Cab Block Feed Failure

NOTE: Perform TEST 1A - CHECKING SYSTEM FOR DTCS  before proceeding.
  1. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off, then on. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If CAB POWER FEED CIRCUIT DTC is set, go to step 4). If CAB POWER FEED CIRCUIT DTC is not set, go to next step.
  2. Conditions required to set DTC are not present at this time. CAB monitors fused B+ voltage at terminal No. 9 (Red/Light Green wire). CAB BLOCK FEED FAILURE DTC sets if voltage is missing when CAB detects that an internal main driver is not on. Possible causes are: loose connections in CAB fused B+ circuit, open fused B+ circuit, open fuse, failed CAB or short to ground in fused B+ circuit.
  3. Using wiring diagram as a guide, inspect ABS system wiring and connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . Repair problems as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  . If no problems are identified, test is complete. Perform TEST VER-1A.
  4. Turn ignition off. Check ABS valve fuse, in Power Distribution Center (PDC). See Figure . If fuse is blown, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step 9).
  5. Leave ABS solenoid fuse or ABS vent fuse removed. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and fused B+ circuit (Red/Light Green wire) at PDC. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 ohms or more, replace faulty ABS solenoid fuse or ABS vent fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  .
  6. Inspect fused B+ circuit for signs of an intermittent short. Repair wiring as necessary and replace ABS fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  . If wiring is okay, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition off, replace ABS solenoid fuse or ABS vent fuse. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool in SELECT SYSTEM TEST, perform HYDRAULIC TEST. If fuse blows again, replace HCU and fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  . If fuse does not blow, go to next step.
  8. Condition that caused fuse to blow is not present. Inspect all related wiring and connectors and repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  .
  9. Turn ignition off. Reinstall fuse. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) connector. CAB is located near air cleaner housing. Inspect connector for any damaged or pushed out terminals. Repair connector as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  . If terminals are okay, go to next step.
  10. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and CAB connector terminal No. 9 (Red/Light Green wire). If resistance is more than 10 ohms, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION TEST  . If resistance is 10 ohms or less, repair open Red/Dark Blue wire. Perform TEST VER-1A.
