Test 17A - Repairing No Response From Pcm

Perform TEST 1A
before proceeding.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. See Fig 1 . Disconnect VTA module connector. Refer to VEHICLE THEFT ALARM MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Also, see Figure Inspect connectors, clean and repair as needed. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of CCD (+) bus circuit between PCM connector terminal No. 26 (Violet/Brown wire) and VTA module connector terminal No. 2 (Violet/Brown wire).
- If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in CCD (+) bus circuit (Violet/Brown wire). Perform TEST VER-1A . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, check resistance of CCD (-) bus circuit between PCM connector terminal No. 46 (White/Gray wire) and VTA module connector terminal No. 1 (White/Gray wire).
- If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in CCD (-) bus circuit (White/Gray wire). Perform TEST VER-1A . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PCM. See Fig 1 . Perform TEST VER-1A .
